The purpose of St. Clement's Anglican Church is to truly know our Lord, worship Him in spirit and in truth, and make Him known to others.

Who We Are
We are a Christian church and part of the world-wide Anglican Communion. We are part of the Anglican Diocese of San Joaquin under Bishop Eric Menees and the Anglican Church of North America. We believe the Bible to be the Word of God and the guide for our lives. We believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God who died for our sins. We proclaim him to the world as the means of salvation and eternal life. We believe the good news of Jesus Christ is a message of love that the world needs to hear. In our worship and in our lives we strive to make this message meaningful to our lives and the lives of those around us.
Fr. Enrique Melchor Ramos
Married to Maray Lopez.
He has two children: Melissa Melchor and Diego Melchor.
As a teenager he was baptized in the Roman Catholic Church; but soon after he moved to the Evangelical League of Cuba, one of the fastest growing churches in that country; there he came to serve as a youth leader at the national level and became actively involved in evangelistic work in universities and art schools in the city of Havana.
In the early 2000's he began a discipleship work in his apartment which resulted in the emergence of a rapidly growing church and from which three missions emerged. When the church was about 3 years old he began to seriously study the history of the church fathers and that study led him to make changes in doctrinal opinion and ecclesiology.
This is how he came to discover and identify with the Anglican movement. Under the direction of Father Gamaliel Garcia, who is Rector of the Branches of the Cross Anglican Church in San Diego, CA, he approached the Reformed Episcopal Church of Cuba. For 5 years he and his church in Havana went through a process of conversion to Anglicanism and so in 2014 they were accepted as a mission within the Reformed Episcopal Church. In 2016 he was ordained to the priesthood by the Reverend Charles Dorrintong, Bishop of the Reformed Episcopal Church in Canada. The Reverend Enrique came to serve as a member of the permanent committee and chancellor for the diocese of Cuba of the Reformed Episcopal Church.
On different occasions Father Enrique was persecuted by the authorities of his country due to his Christian activism, and in the year 2021 he was forced to leave Cuba leaving behind his wife and children.
Since my arrival in the USA I have visited different churches of the REC and other Anglican dioceses and I have collaborated in the work to reach out to Hispanics in the different cities I have been in. During the past year I spent 3 months giving communion and evening prayer services at Christ the King Church (REC) in San Luis Obispo, and then I served as an assistant to Father Gamaliel Garcia at Branches of the Cross Church (Western Anglican) in San Diego.
Since his arrival in the United States, Father Enrique has collaborated with several REC churches and other Anglican dioceses within the United States.
In 2023, thanks to the work of the Reformed Episcopal Church and the Anglican Diocese of San Joaquin, it was possible to bring Father Enrique's family from Cuba.
Father Enrique is currently part of the Anglican Mission Committee for Cuba, a collaborator of the Anglican ministry Caminemos Juntos , and serves as rector of the St. Clement of Alexandria Anglican Church in the Diocese of San Joaquin.
He has pastoral studies at the seminary of the Church of the Nazarene in Cuba, has a bachelor's degree in theology and is a graduate of MOCLAM (Moore College for Latin America),

Bishop Eric Menees
Bishop Eric Menees was born in Compton, California on November 21, 1961 and is a tenth generation Los Angelino. Ironically, that same day was the founding convention of the Diocese of San Joaquin. Bishop Menees grew up in Southern California and attended California State University, Long Beach. As a college student Bishop Menees was formed in the catholic faith at All Saints, Long Beach under the guidance of then Fr. Bill Thompson who would later become Bishop Bill Thompson. At that time Bishop Menees professed as a Third Order Franciscan. His formation as a Franciscan has shaped his entire life and ministry. Bishop Menees graduated from the General Theological Seminary with an M.Div and from Seabury Western Theological Seminary with a D.Min. Bishop Menees is married to Florence Guadalupe and has two grown children, Milagro and Sebastian.
Following his ordination Bishop Menees served Spanish language congregations in East Los Angeles and Santa Ana in the Diocese of Los Angeles. From there he was called to the Diocese of San Diego to be the chaplain at The Bishop’s School in La Jolla, California and later as vicar and then rector of Grace Church, San Marcos.
In 2006 following the election of Katharine Jefferts Schori, Bishop Menees left the Episcopal Church as a matter of conscience with 19.5 years credited to the pension fund and founded the Anglican Church of the Resurrection. In 2011 by God’s grace Bishop Menees was elected the fifth bishop of San Joaquin succeeding Bishop John David Schofield. Bishop Menees serves as bishop for Caminemos Juntos, the ACNA Spanish Language ministry support network, and the ACNA representative to the Anglican Province of South America and the Roman Catholic Church.
